Every year, during the week before Palm Springs Pride, the Palm Springs Leather Order of the Desert (PSLOD) holds their own distinct celebration: Palm Springs Leather Pride. It’s a popular event that sees fans of the leather lifestyle converging on our fair city to celebrate their passions. This year, the party takes place October 27-30.
The list of fun events around town includes a Meet & Greet cocktail party; a clothing- optional pool party hosted by Mr. Palm Springs Leather 2016, Christopher Durbin; the formal Leather Dinner; the popular Tool Shed/PSLOD vendor market; and the Back Lot Cruise Party. This is shaping up to be an event no leather enthusiast should miss, and Santiago makes a great home base from which to access the weekend’s activities. And to show off your hot gear!
Saturday’s events include an afternoon Cigar and Gear party, a leather tea dance, the Victory dance party at the Barracks and, of course, the Mr. Palm Springs Leather contest, which will be held at the Palm Springs Air Museum (VIP ticket holders get a complimentary docent tour). On Sunday, you can enjoy the BBQ/pool party with the infamous wet t-shirt contest, and the closing party at the Barracks.
Weekend package and VIP tickets are available. For event details, schedule, hotel and travel info, and to buy tickets, visit desertleatherpride.com.
