VOTES ARE IN: BEST BURGER IN PALM SPRINGS!

Make no mistake, it does not matter if you are asking locals or visitors when you ask, “who has the best hamburger in Palm Springs?” the most common answer will be Tyler’s Burger’s. Located in “La Plaza” downtown. This is home to a simple, yet delicious paper wrapped burger deserving of all that adoration.

Tyler’s is only open from 11AM-4PM sadly, it is a lunch time spot only. Don’t worry, there are plenty of other incredible burgers here in Palm Springs that can be had after 4PM, so I thought I would highlight a few I have come to love.

If you like something a little bit different, the “Patty Melt’ at Sherman’s Deli is one of their top sellers! A 1/2 lb. burger patty grilled between two pieces of rye bread, with melted Swiss. It is served with their own version of “potato chips” which are little homemade French fried potato coins. And if you have never been to Sherman’s Deli when visiting Palm Springs you should not miss out, it is a true institution! And try to save room for dessert; they are the best in the valley!

Another local favorite is at Smoking Burgers, the “WOW Burger” has won many awards, including “Best of the Valley” and is considered by many the best burger in town. It is a real burger commitment with two patties, thousand island spread, pickles, crisp lettuce, tomato, avocado, bacon and provolone cheese topped with crispy fried onions. Not for the faint at heart. It comes with French fries, but for a mere $2 extra you can order crispy and delicious tater tots! Who does not love tater tots??

And for my final burger, especially if you are a late night muncher, Black Book Bar serves food until 1AM, and for Palm Springs, that is very exciting news! They have a fantastic cheeseburger on the menu all day long! If you want fries, you have to order them extra, the portion is huge -great to share with the table! They also have an incredible chicken sandwich as well, if you are feeling spicy!
