Whether it’s your first-time visiting Santiago or you’re a seasoned regular, there’s always something interesting nearby to see and do. As the temperatures begin to cool down, we wanted to share a list of some of our favorite places where you can eat, drink, shop and repeat all within easy walking distance of Santiago Resort.


Eat…

 Mr. Lyons | 33 E Palm Canyon Drive (.7 mile away)

If you’re looking for a classic, fine dining experience, walk on over to Mr. Lyons. Eat like a member of the Rat Pack at this modern, upscale, retro-style steakhouse serving steak and seafood entrees that pair well with their classic cocktails. The Mr. Lyons Honest Martini and the Maui Onion rings are a must!

Del Rey @ Villa Royale | 1620 S Indian Trail (.7 mile away)

Located in the Villa Royale Hotel, Del Rey is an excellent date night choice. Start your evening out with a walk through the classic Deepwell neighborhood.  Once you arrive you’ll be ready for a smooth craft cocktail in the beautiful, dimly-lit atmosphere while sharing delicious tapas-style menu items. The outdoor patio and fire pit is a great place to enjoy an evening under the stars.

Hidden behind Mr. Lyons, this intimate bar with a vintage vibe specializes in craft libations. Grab cocktails before dinner at Mr. Lyons or take in their happy hour from 4 PM-6 PM.

Possibly the most interesting store in the Coachella Valley, the Antique Galleries of Palm Springs boasts 12,000 sq ft. of air-conditioned space filled with a huge assortment of collectibles and antiques including many mid-century items. The two-story building is a fun place to walk through and you’re sure to find something unique for your home.
