Thursday Night VillageFest

If your desert escape happens to include a Thursday night, head to the heart of downtown and take a stroll through VillageFest.

Every Thursday a stretch of Palm Canyon Drive closes to car traffic and transforms into a festive night market featuring local artisans, musicians, fresh produce, and street food. With over 180 vendors lining both sides of the street for several blocks, there’s a little something for everyone here.

You’ll find handcrafted jewelry and leather goods, locally grown dates, vintage apparel and collectibles, natural body products, contemporary and Southwestern art, awesome people-watching, and lots of tasty munchies. Many shops along Palm Canyon Drive stay open late and some restaurants and bars offer drink specials. The Palm Springs Art Museum even offers free admission on Thursday nights.

VillageFest takes place most every Thursday. Holiday and covid closures are indicated on their Facebook page. Hours are 6-10 PM October through May and 7-10 PM June through September. Park nearby on the street, or in one of the free downtown parking structures. For more details check out the VillageFest website here.
