When you hear “the Ritz” you know it’s going to be one of the best, and the day spa at The Ritz Carlton in Ranch Mirage doesn’t disappoint. The elegant sandstone facility is nestled on a bluff outside town and features incredible mountain and valley views from every window. A beautiful men’s area includes a steam room, sauna, and an outdoor terrace with a plunge pool and hot tub. The decadent spa menu incorporates indigenous botanicals into massages, facials, and scrubs and includes a number of luxe treatments designed especially for men. Prepare to be seriously pampered, and make sure to request a treatment room with a view.

Located right downtown, Salon 119 is another solid place to head for spa services. In addition to facials, scrubs, and waxing, their extensive massage menu includes Lomi Lomi, Deep Tissue, Cranio-Sacral Therapy, and Reflexology.

Spa Desert Springs at JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort

Leave the cares of the world behind at this incredible 38,000-square-foot wellness facility. The spacious Men’s Lounge includes whirlpools, saunas, and lavender- and lemongrass-scented Turkish-style hammams, plus there’s a large co-ed saltwater pool. The spa menu of men’s massages, facials, and body treatments is impressive and bookings include access to the resort’s state-of-the-art fitness center. If you haven’t scheduled anything ahead and are feeling spontaneous, the Spa offers a special end-of-day ‘come in and chill’ rate after 3 PM to simply enjoy the men’s areas and facility.

Azure Palm Hot Springs Resort & Day Spa

Located just outside town, Azure is a newer place to experience the desert’s legendary restorative hot springs. The star of this modern adults-only facility is the oversized outdoor pool filled with warm, soft, and odorless mineral water, plus two indoor and two outdoor spa pools naturally heated to different temperatures. Purchase a day pass to enjoy the spring-fed pools, cedar sauna, and relaxing lounging areas. Or book a reasonably priced massage or mud wrap and receive complimentary admission to the mineral pools for the day of your treatment.

Sunstone Spa at Agua Caliente Casino

Sunstone has been awarded one of the top 100 spas in the country, yet somehow manages to be one of the better-kept secrets in town. This tranquil 10,500-square-foot oasis features a private men’s area with a soothing eucalyptus steam room, a menthol dry sauna, a grounding room, refreshments, and an outdoor patio with a whirlpool spa. Sunstone makes a concerted effort to offer one-of-a-kind treatment experiences. Massages include heated stones and quartz-infused essential oils and end with a brief vibrational session. Clinical facials, gemstone body polishes, and mani/pedis are equally magical. Less than 20 minutes away in Rancho Mirage, get ready to exhale and say spahhhh.
